Face Masks are made of 100% New Cotton material, pre-washed hot water & hot dry, with Over-the-Head elastic ties. Certainly cut the tie in half, and re-tie for Over-the-Ear ties. Each is double-layered, and there is an opening to insert an additional filter if so desired. Suggestions have been blue shop-towels, t-shirt material, coffee-filter, etc.
Each mask is made with contributed material that was intended for quilting, by generous friends & community members.
The Story: Community Contribution.
The sewing machine was given by a neighbour, who’s mother thought since she wasn’t using it, maybe it could be useful for someone during this time combating COVID-19. New 100% Cotton has been provided by friends, neighbours, and community. Revenue from sales gives the opportunity to donate and share masks with those in need and continue to buy supplies. A very good friend and neighbour assists with mask making, and makes the process so much more fun.
Each mask completed is sent off with a good thought, a prayer, a wish for good health and a long plentiful life, and a virtual hug.
Think well of others, and all will be well. -Stefanie McManus
